Love is the antidote for fear. If we love our neighbor as ourselves, we won't fear them.

My home town, St. Petersburg, is about to be hit by a category 4 hurricane. I have family who are still recovering from the last hurricane. They have had to evacuate and are under a great deal of stress. Please pray for them to stay safe and as peaceful as possible in such a scary time.

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear." Servant leaders lead with love. Fear is a tool to manipulate and control.

Love our neighbor as ourself. Love is the power to heal and overcome. Martin Luther King said, "you can't drive hate out with hate." He was 100%

Also, it may be wise to get out of our ecochambers and listen to the needs and hopes of those we disagree with. These ecochambers are not psychologically healthy.

Dr. McFaul taught my ethics class at SMU, when I took graduate courses there. He showed us how unethical systems fail, for example Enron. The synopsis of the class was that ethical systems succeed and unethical systems fail. So interesting! When an organization is led by someone who is unethical and lies, it will eventually fail. This is why character matters in leadership.

I believe the true gospel thrives in pluralistic culture. The world is pluralistic, the gospel was created for world.

Fear or anger is not a true Christian motivator. Joy in love is the Christian motivation. It's wise to be suspicious of our actions if we are motivated by anger or fear.

We live in a pluralistic world. Pluralism is not wrong, it is reality. We can live in reality and be neighborly and helpful to one another. We don't have to forsake or betray our beliefs to be neighborly and caring to people who have different beliefs. Jesus was teaching how to deal with reality when he taught the Parable of The Good Samaritan.
