First day of drawing for Thursday Young Illustrator Class. Warm ups blind contour led to the start of a character for the comic book they will make about an adventure their comic character self. Naomi said they were all “what blind contour” they trade artists each time they draw - 2 artists staring each other down to make sure nobody peeks at drawing. After first drawing they were howling with laughter the rest of class. A fine time and some AMAZING work was made by the fun and joy of artists being silly in community. More of that, please. -12

Mini cut paper delights from homework

Some of Miss Naomi’s Friday class made these delightful mandalas as a final project. Cheers to a great last class and may everyone who can sign up for her summer section on Friday afternoons. Great way to beat the heat and start the weekend right. Ok to miss a couple - but don’t miss out on our only 5+ (because it HAS to be Naomi) for Summer.
