So You’re Engaged, Now What?

This time five years ago I found myself asking that very question. Where do I even start? Everyone was asking questions that I didn’t have answers to, I could not stop staring at the gorgeous new ring on my finger, and I wanted to figure it all out in one sitting. I had these amazing dreams, a lifetime of visions in my head for what my wedding would look like, and no idea where to begin.

In my most recent blog I go over six steps you can take this month to start the process of your dream day.

First in the agenda, take a pause.
I know it’s counterintuitive but everything comes at you quickly and stopping, taking a breath, then walking forward with a clear head and a calm nervous system will help make things much easier.

Here’s the thing… I only really work with couples who are madly, sickeningly in love — the ones who cannot get enough of each other. You know, the couples who dance when no one is watching, laugh at a single glance, and cry when the other shows up in a very special way. This past week has been heavy. My heart is with the Texas Hill Country and everyone affected by the recent events, especially those close to me. Here’s a verse I’ve been holding closely to.
