Ravenhill In-Home Dog Boarding

This page is about happy dogs and general dog care. Boarding in my home is suspended. Aug 2021, Ravenhill is suspending accepting new clients for a while.

If you plan to leave town and don't like the idea of strangers coming to your home, the dog alone all day, or your dog in a cage, kennel, or dog run, then in-home boarding may be the solution for you. Before dogs come to stay, a Meet and Greet will take place so we can evaluate the dog's behavior and comfort level, you can see the place in person, and we can determine if I'm the best fit. I am trying to get things in order for screening and boarding again. Having both dogs healed after surgery is a big step.
Inflation is going to bump up my prices ( but not double because no shipping costs 🤣).

These are the current cats at Ravenhill.
Gray One is most social, and learning about the dogs most quickly.
Miss Bishop is the tabby, and really seems to like me, but is leery of the dogs. She was mainly in the middle of the house: hallway and pink bathroom.
Spectre lives in my bedroom and doesn't like dogs or me, and isn't even that wild about the other cats. She used to love Hector, but he spurned her. We are working on ways she can get the attention she solicits without anyone bleeding afterwards.

This cat is Gray One.
For a long time, he was a front yard feral, a friend of Hector.
Six months after the loss of Hogan, I got tired of worrying about the outside cats, and brought them in.
Gray One is learning dogs the best.

Scout had a growth on his chest, which was removed in June. It was benign. He's all healed up now. He had to wear a shirt, and then a cone, and a little crate rest, so it could heal without The Licking.
He is 12, but closer to middle age these days. Good thing he loves being in Houses.

In November of 2024, Hogan began developing symptoms in addition to the epilepsy. Minor turns of the head, but they were involuntary. It was not much, but it was not responsive to his medication.
I didn't want to ask him to fight more. He'd overcome so much. So we went to VEG and he was very relaxed for the final care.
He is missed. Ravenhill hasn't been without him since I began living here after the fire. Life without a do***ng cat is strange.

Thanks to everyone who was a part of his life and shared their dogs with him. He loved them.

Leo had lumps on his legs that had to come off.
He's 10. There were 4 in all.
Fortunately, all were benign. He's recovering from this, but is on strict Cone and Leash walking until he heals enough that he can't lick the incisions open.
He did very well for a big old guy!
