Can I rant about this picture for a bit? I'm in love with the details. The grain of the wood. The burned etches. It just pops. I fiddled with the aperture to play with the depth of focus, but I settled on having one particular thing in focus - the needle. Everything else could just fade away into the background. Add in a little bit of color correction to get a "teal and orange" aesthetic, and you have something worth feeling good about....

What comes next? No more assignments and no more late night studying. Now I'm taking much needed time to read (for fun!) and learn as much as I can before putting myself through a steady 9-5. It's definitely weird to go from a life of education almost non-stop to this. I know most people go through this right after getting a bachelors, but this is my first experience with it and it's mildly unsettling....
