During Jewish American Heritage Month, we recognize the leaders whose service reflects the diverse fabric of American public life and civic engagement.
Jon Ossoff, born and raised in Georgia, made history in 2020 when he was elected as the first Jewish U.S. Senator from the state, and among the youngest members of the Senate.His path in public service began early, including interning in high school for civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis. Lewis later provided a recommendation that helped launch Ossoff’s career as a legislative assistant and national security staffer, and he also went on to endorse him during his campaigns reflecting a lasting legacy of mentorship and public service in the Senate, Ossoff serves on several committees and is known for his focus on government oversight, infrastructure, and public accountability.
We are proud of the work we’ve done in Georgia to strengthen civic participation, engage voters, and support communities across the state and we look forward to continuing that work as we head into the June 16 runoffs. ✅
