Okay, construction nerds… this one’s for you.

Modern architecture is all about clean lines, smooth walls, minimal trim, and crisp transitions. But that look doesn’t happen by accident, it starts with straight, consistent framing.

And on this build, some of these walls rise to a towering 23 feet.

At that height, even small imperfections in the framing can become much more noticeable. A slight bow or twist at the bottom can translate into visible waves across a massive wall once the drywall goes up.

That’s why we’re using Weyerhaeuser Company TimberStrand® LSL.

Unlike conventional sawn lumber, TimberStrand® LSL is made from wood strands that are oriented, bonded with adhesive, and formed into a dense, engineered structural product. This manufacturing process helps create lumber with consistent dimensions, strength, and performance.

Translation?

Less bow.
Less twist.
Less crown.
More predictable framing.

And predictable framing is a BIG deal.. especially when you’re building tall walls with expansive, uninterrupted surfaces.

TimberStrand® LSL is designed for applications such as wall studs, plates, and other structural framing components. Its straight, uniform profile helps make it easier to build walls that are plumb, straight, and true. which can mean fewer headaches when the drywall, cabinets, doors, trim, and finishes go in.

Because modern architecture leaves very little room for imperfections.
