Morning! Have you prepared your home for all the crazy weather coming our way in ?
If not, check out our previous posts and read below.
Check that your home thermostats are all working properly.
🔘 Did you know that you should heat your house at a minimum of 65°?
Yes! The temperature inside of your home's walls (where the pipes are located) are much colder than the walls themselves. Any lower and they may be prone to freeze.
☑️ Don't forget about to check if smoke and CO2 detectors have fresh batteries and are in working order too.
We'll get through this. 🤞 for no 2022

Be sure to load up on firewood before the rain starts tomorrow. We're in for a cold 🥶 couple of days...
Tip: keep your flue shut UNLESS you're using it 🔥

Freezing temps are returning to this week, so we're sharing some helpful homeowner tips to protect you from some pricey problems.
inside:
Drip faucets and fixtures on any exterior walls of your home or in non-conditioned/heated spaces.
Take it a step further and open cabinet doors or drawers below to let interior heat in around the pipes and p-trap beneath. How much to drip? Think angel hair pasta WINK
outside:
Disconnect and cover/wrap all exterior hose bibs.
Make sure that swimming pool is full and keep it running so pipes have active water running through them. Remember: stagnant water in pipes can freeze.
Deep water and cover those tender annuals and perennials plants with frost cloth or old sheets/lightweight towels.
Do you know where your main water shutoff is to your home or at the street? If not, familiarize yourself with it now, have a manhole key and learn how to turn it off in case of a flood or burst pipe.
