You’ve seen what we’re doing to the outside. Now let’s step inside.

Here’s a little interior tour of our 1925 North Clinton Tudor, showing off some of the spaces, details, and character hiding behind that storybook facade.

A little more room, without losing the magic.

Built in 1925, this Kessler Park Tudor cottage is now 101 years old. Our goal was to nearly double the square footage while keeping it feeling like the same sweet little Tudor Revival cottage it always wanted to be.

We added a second story with simulated half-timbering, but instead of simply adding another floor, we carried the original architectural language upward.

The new front gable repeats the decorative teardrop-cut gable trim from the original entry, while a smaller gable was added over the existing leaded-glass windows. We’re also reworking the original elliptical entry arch into a more Tudor-appropriate half-circle arch, with matching brick continuing into the new gable above.

The result is a bigger house that still feels small, whimsical, and full of character.

Because adding square footage doesn’t mean you have to lose the charm that made the house special in the first place.

I went to measure a house over on Rosemont yesterday...
And ran into one of the craziest features I've ever seen in a house. I don't know if it's cool or creepy..
