While the article suggests aligning the employer brands with the business’ goals, We believe in taking it a step further to create magnetic branding. This occurs when the employee and the customer share the same central belief. In fact, one of the first things we do for every brand is create a Magnetic Scorecard. This gives everyone a quick glance at both the consumer and employer brands in relation to one another.
The article also mentions that employees are three times more credible than the CEO when talking about working conditions. That’s why identifying brand champions and giving them a voice is so crucial. These are the people you want featured in your testimonial videos and employer brand campaign materials. Their passion can turn job seekers into applicants and other employees into brand champions just like them.
It is also important that these champions be seen in the best light. Your employer campaign materials deserve the same production quality as your consumer brand. This work isn’t supposed to be created and then hidden on your company intranet. It needs to be seen by the world. Active job seekers are more likely to apply if an employer actively manages their employer brand. Make sure they like what they see.
