“Hugs” by Anna Curnes () is one of the most popular pieces in our smalls shop. These hand-sculpted pieces, embodying the feeling of a warm embrace, are such a beautiful, intentional gift.

Tomorrow, you’ll be able to see how they are made. Anna will be doing live art demonstrations during our Summer Social. See her forge with fire using techniques she learned while studying under a glass master in Murano.

A cooling respite on a warm summer evening.

Lisa Moriarty ()’s artwork is inspired by the Northern California coastline and layers of memories by the water, on the beach and immersed in nature. It’s the perfect escape from the Texan heat.

“Currents of Light” embodies the calm and motion of water illuminated by the sun. The way the encaustic painted fabric carries light is different from every angle so it’s best appreciated in person.

Resident Artist Christi Meril () is going on a three-week residency in Santa Fe at the end of the month. She is taking time to create and explore ahead of something exciting coming later on in the year.

The Summer Social at ALG Fine Art is a send-off before this time of creative focus. On Friday 17th July, we’re hosting a relaxed summer evening at the gallery. Enjoy the artwork, have a drink and see art demonstrations.

This piece “Dewdrop” shows the expert craftsmanship and distinct point of view behind every artwork Christi creates.

See it in person alongside other artworks from her collection and her two fellow Resident Artists, Anna Curnes and Lisa Moriarty, on Friday.
