We’re thrilled that D Magazine has chosen to feature our CEO, Marjorie Murat , in its latest cover story for D CEO Greater Good. The article highlights how Dallas Afterschool has leveraged a transformative gift from MacKenzie Scott and our recognition from D Magazine for the RECESS fundraiser to amplify our impact and enhance the afterschool experience for 19,000 children across Dallas.

As Marjorie shares with D Magazine senior writer Will Maddox, “Education doesn’t end when the school bell rings, and working parents need a safe place for their kids to go. Not everyone has the privilege to leave work at 3 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. to pick up their child, and having high-quality afterschool care contributes to our economy. It’s a well-needed resource.”
