Jim Carrey once said,
“Imagine for just a minute that you are financially struggling and in the unfortunate situation of being homeless and suddenly someone comes with a camera, to film your face and your precarious situation, to give you a meal so they can record it and you have to take it, because you are hungry… Imagine that feeling. Please stop doing that. If you are going to help someone, do it with kindness and not with your ego.”

This is an actual extract from a s*x education textbook for girls, printed in the early 1960's in the UK. As far as we have come, we have so far to go!!
“When retiring to the bedroom, prepare yourself for bed as promptly as possible. Whilst feminine hygiene is of the utmost importance, your tired husband does not want to queue for the bathroom, as he would have to do for his train. But remember to look your best when going to bed. Try to achieve a look that is welcoming without being obvious. If you need to apply face cream or hair-rollers wait until he is asleep as this can be shocking to a man last thing at night.
When it comes to the possibility of intimate relations with your husband it is important to remember your marriage vows and in particular your commitment to obey him. If he feels that he needs to sleep immediately then so be it. In all things be led by your husband's wishes; do not pressure him in any way to stimulate intimacy. Should your husband suggest Congress then agree humbly all the while being mindful that a man's satisfaction is more important than a woman's. When he reaches his moment of fulfillment a small moan from yourself is encouraging to him and quite sufficient to indicate any enjoyment that you may have had.
Should your husband suggest any of the more unusual practices be obedient and uncomplaining but register any reluctance by remaining silent. It is likely that your husband will then fall promptly asleep so adjust your clothing, freshen up, and apply your night-time face and hair care products. You may then set the alarm so that you can arise shortly before him in the morning. This will enable you to have his morning cup of tea ready.

“Just for the record, the Trooper pictured was not aware he was being photographed or that this post was being made.
SPD officers, assisted by PSP troopers responded this morning to a violent domestic involving the mother of the kids in the picture cutting the father. While the mother was being taken into custody and the father’s wounds were being attended, this trooper was caring for the infant and the 6 year old.
So, why post the pic? First of all to acknowledge the actions of the officers and troopers in quickly resolving the incident without any more harm being done. Secondly to give the community an idea of the varied roles in which police officers may be called upon to protect and serve”.

"This is addressed to those who don't want to rent apartments to people with dogs and also to those who won't rent houses to them:
I can't take my dog to the beach for a walk because it bothers you on your vacation. You also won't let me rent a house if I have a dog, and I can't bring my dog on public transport either.
However, I can take my dog through the rubble to find you after an earthquake, into the forest after you got lost in the mountains without a map or GPS, under the snow because you went off-piste despite the prohibition, into the water because you swam despite the red flag, and anywhere else you might need because, in the end, it's just a dog... but it will find you.
Dedicated to all those who don't love dogs."

On September 16, 1976, world-champion finswimmer Shavarsh Karapetyan was finishing a 13-mile training run in Armenia when he suddenly heard a disturbing sound!!!....
A trolleybus had fallen over a dam wall and plunged into Yerevan Lake. The 23-year-old immediately sprinted to the scene, stripped down, and dove into the sewage-strewn water to save as many people as possible.
Despite near-zero visibility, Karapetyan swam 15 feet down to reach the trolleybus only to discover there was no open window. So, he decided to kick the rear window out, lacerating his legs in the process. Over the next 20 minutes, Karapetyan managed to bring 37 people to the surface, 20 of whom survived. Another nine escaped on their own through the window he'd broken open.
Karapetyan's heroism left him with permanently-scarred lungs after he developed pneumonia, and he spent the next three weeks in a hospital bed before he could walk again. But the following year, he participated in two final competitions — where he won a gold medal and broke his 11th world record — before retiring for good.

The largest and deepest natural sinkhole on the planet is called Xiaozai Tiankang.
It is located in the heart of China, Penji. This fantastic sinkhole is completely natural and reaches a depth of 662 meters and a width of 537 meters.
But the most striking thing is the explosion of life that it contains. What confuses geologists due to the effects of water is Xiaozai Tiankang. In this case, it was formed at the top of a cave, where an underground river, 8.5 kilometers long, flows into a magnificent waterfall. Its enormous size makes it the deepest sinkhole in the world.
It is home to about 1,300 species of plants and wildlife. Among the most fascinating “tenants” of the underground forest is the misty panther, known to the locals since ancient times.

I was in the house with my baby, watching through the window as my 5-year-old waited for the bus. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a black, wolfish-looking dog appeared at the bus stop.
Without thinking, I threw on my boots and sprinted down the street, calling for the dog to come to me. She looked intimidating—thin, scruffy, and a little wild—but as she got closer and her tail started wagging, I realized she wasn’t harmful, just desperate.
She was starving and thirsty, with no collar or tags. I called the pound to report that I had found her and agreed to hold onto her until an owner came forward.
The next day, someone reported her missing. In our tight-knit neighborhood, dogs don’t usually go missing, so I had my concerns. When I arrived at the owner’s house, she was outside—and to my surprise, she barely reacted to seeing her lost dog.
I asked about Mocha’s well-being, and the woman brushed it off, saying she was a "pain" and always ran away. Then, with zero emotion, she admitted they hated the dog.
I didn’t say another word. I turned around, walked away, and Mocha followed me home.
That was 10 years ago. She has never once tried to run away from us. She loves us, and we love her. She’s about 13 now, and our vet says she’s got many good years left.
We didn’t plan to adopt her—but in the end, she rescued us just as much as we rescued her...

A sniper’s nest found untouched for 81 years, possibly dating back to World War II.
Such discoveries are like time capsules, offering a glimpse into the past where a soldier once took position, waiting and watching through the scope of their rifle.
These nests were often hidden in strategic locations—abandoned buildings, forested areas, or even makeshift camouflaged spots—providing snipers with the perfect vantage point. Finding one preserved “as is” means items like empty shell casings, personal belongings, ration cans, or even the rifle’s bolt might still be there, frozen in time.
