Eclectic and maximalism often get confused—but they create very different energy.

Eclectic design is curated.
Maximalism is expressive.
Both are intentional—but intention looks different.

At Summer Kim Design, I lean toward refined eclecticism:
layered, personal, and calm—with bold moments used thoughtfully.

Luxury isn’t about how much you add.
It’s about knowing when to stop.

Modern and contemporary aren’t twins.
They’re cousins.

One is rooted in history.
The other evolves with the present.

The most beautiful spaces know how to blend them—
and that’s where quiet luxury lives.

(Organic Modern Interior Design)

Modern doesn’t have to feel cold.

Organic Modern is where clean lines meet natural materials—
real wood, stone, plaster, linen—
layered with intention, not excess.

Instead of bold patterns, this style relies on texture.
Instead of trends, it prioritizes calm.
Instead of perfection, it welcomes warmth.

If you love modern design but want your home to feel
grounded, lived-in, and quietly luxurious—
this might be your direction.

Save this for later 🤍
Or tell me—does this feel like you?

Interior Design Style “Transitional”

Transitional decor style combines elements of both traditional and contemporary design. Neutral color palette, mix old and new furniture, incorporate a variety of textures and materials to name a few. This is one of my favorite personal design styles. What about you? Do you like it? If not, why?

Do you know your interior design style yet? If not, I’ve got you covered. Scandinavian style is one of my personal favorite. Simple yet cozy with showcasing your personality. Comment your thoughts on this room design.

Isn't it so true we all want more? But the hard truth is, we can't have more until we are willing to make room to let go of some of the things that are not serving us anymore. Somethings that don't work for us anymore, somethings are out of season, or letting go of someone who is holding you back. You can't have "MORE" until you are willing to "Let Go".
