The Cat Connection was founded in 1985 as the premier professional cat boarding, grooming, and retail location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Fast forward 30 years later and we have grown tremendously - expanding into a unique feline focused professional cat boarding, grooming, retail, and online store run by a bunch of crazy cat aficionados. We've turned our passion for our feline friends into a business that allows us to help others who love their cats as much as we do. We are not your average cat lovers and whether you visit us at our retail location or online, you'll see that The Cat Connection is not your average cat store. We are dedicated to providing all-natural, organic, hard-to-find cat products with an unwavering focus on superior customer service. Want to switch to a new cat litter, but don't know how to or don't know which one to choose? Want to get your kitty off dry food and switch to raw or canned food only? Trying to figure out which cat scratcher might be best for your feline? We can help with ideas, tips, and tricks. Whether you're looking for cat collars, cat beds, cat scratchers, cat food, cat treats, cat furniture, cat gifts, or cat litter we can help you find what you're looking for and potentially suggest complementary products for your needs. Just call our retail location or reach out to us through e-mail. Here you'll talk to our knowledgeable and educated staff about any of your cat concerns or questions. Our people know cats, caring for them in our boarding area, and continually informing themselves of the latest products and issues cats and their owners are facing. Today is North Texas Giving Day!
It’s a chance to support the North Texas nonprofits that make our community a kinder place. Here at The Cat Connection, we have a special place in our hearts for the local cat rescues caring for cats and helping them find homes.
If you’re able to give, visit NorthTexasGivingDay.org and search for a cause you love. Some nonprofits have matching gifts available, so check their pages to see whether your donation can go even further.
If donating isn’t possible today, sharing a nonprofit’s post can help more people discover its work, too.

Life is never boring with a splash of ginger in it!
Happy Ginger Cat Appreciation Day!
Beautiful Sonja, who is currently boarding with us at The Cat Connection, graciously agreed to help us celebrate all the sweet, sassy, silly, and wonderfully spicy ginger cats out there.
And Sonja is a little extra special—she’s part of the smaller percentage of ginger cats who are female! Most ginger cats are male, making our gorgeous girl part of a pretty exclusive club.
Sonja’s mom is making sure she gets properly spoiled while she’s away. She’s relaxing in one of our private boarding rooms AND getting a spa day while she’s here. Talk about a kitty vacation!
Have a ginger baby of your own? Celebrate them today with a little extra cuddle or playtime, a favorite treat, a new toy (maybe one of the fun ones featured in our post), or a fresh new look with a grooming appointment.

JJ and Peek A Boo had a blast chasing a Cat Charmer during their playroom time at The Cat Connection. These boys are always ready to play, explore, and keep us entertained. Getting them to slow down long enough for a photo? That’s another story.
We loved having these sweet, playful brothers stay with us, and we’re so happy their family chose The Cat Connection to care for them while they were away. Thank you for trusting us with your boys!
