Plant Spotlight: Yaupon Holly Tree
A great small ornamental tree for sun or shade areas that can grow up to 15' tall. Did you know the female trees have berries in the winter? The berries offer food for the birds in the cold months. Snip some branches off the berries on the tree limbs can also be incorporated in your home holiday decor! πŸŽ„

Plant Spitlight: Inland Sea Oats
Inland Sea Oats is a 2-4 ft., clump-forming, perennial grass. It is very
popular as a low-maintenance shade grass and known for its large, graceful seedheads. Like most all perennial grasses it is recommended to cut it back every February (early spring). Inland Sea Oats reseed easily and can expand aggressively within a couple of years, making a solid mat in moist loams. It has been used to prevent soil erosion along streams and can be found in native areas around TX.
