When seconds count, being understood can make all the difference.

In an emergency, communication can become a barrier—and first responders need the tools to bridge that gap. Sign Kind’s Safety Signs Program equips first responders with practical signs and greater awareness to communicate with people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, nonverbal, or have other communication needs.

Because when someone needs help, everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported.

Inclusion starts early.

When children learn sign language, they gain more than new signs—they gain another way to connect, communicate, and make others feel welcome. 

This is why we bring Sign Kind into schools: to help bridge communication gaps, learn about differences, and remind every child that they belong here.

At the age of 9, my sister and I saw firsthand how cruel it was to assume nonverbal and/or Deaf children can thrive in school and community settings that weren’t designed with them in mind. We vowed to make a change one community at a time. At age 12, we began our journey of reaching and teaching all children about functional communication, sign language, and invisible disabilities through our nonprofit, Sign Kind.
