We’ve both had some pretty crazy chapters before getting here. Some good, some expensive and some we definitely learned from the hard way.

So here are 5 things about us you probably wouldn’t guess.

Which one surprised you the most?

The face says “don’t even try.”

He does it anyway… and somehow, it works every single time.

Apparently, he’s the only one who knows the secret.

Honestly, I’m not sure what’s harder… building houses together or staying married while doing it.

One day they’ll call us lucky.

They won’t see the sleepless nights. The risks. The setbacks. The arguments. The moments we questioned everything. They’ll just see what we built. But we’ll remember standing on an empty piece of land with nothing but a plan and then standing inside the house that once existed only in our heads.

No shortcuts. No easy road. Just two people, one dream and a decision to keep building even when it was hard.

Everyone thinks the biggest expense in construction is materials, labor, or upgrades…

My husband knows better.

He builds the houses. I make sure the budget stays… ambitious.

Apparently when your husband is a builder, every crazy renovation idea suddenly becomes “totally doable.”

Husbands, be careful when she says “WE should renovate…”
