It’s time.

Launch DFW has had a great run. Sure, it’s been full of ups and downs just like anything else, but overall I’m proud of the impact its had on the DFW Startup Community.

But it’s time to move on.

Launch DFW has been a labor of love since the beginning, when it was just me writing as many blog posts as I could in my free time about the interesting companies I came across in the various parts of the metroplex.

Over time, it grew into something that was bigger than any one person and I did my best to shepherd it towards success and sustainability.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t my sole focus and misplaced trust in the leadership of others has led to its slow decline over the past few years. That is 100% on me.

If you’ve supported Launch DFW in some way over the past 11 years, thank you. It does mean a lot to me.

I hope the DFW Startup Community continues to thrive and grow, and that at some point a new organization comes along that can truly put the community first to help it succeed.

For now, Launch DFW will suspend all its activities. If you’re a community member who would like to carry the torch of some piece of what Launch has done in the past, please feel free to reach out.

All the best,

Bradley Joyce
