The Meat Papi

Someone said it’s national burger day so I kept it simple with some leftover trimmings. We ground up some prime brisket, some ground chuck then we smoked it and finished on an open fire. Of course threw in some maple bourbon bacon because why not-

No sauce, no veggies just protein and cheese like God intended-

Taking inspo from my good friend Lauren Nagel (follow her for all the greatest recipes) and made a roasted grilled cheese pot pie. Truly in Midwest fashion I saw a leaf fall down and had to make an autumn soup.

My last minute pastry was a bit too thick and I should of rolled thinner but alas this is a great last minute dinner especially if you get some puff pastry in a tub.

All said and done in about 90 minutes-
