Hadn’t posted in a while because I haven’t shot anything in a while. Had to put these out there because I love the way they came out. The photo is real, with some AI used to edit the landscape. Anyway, even with AI assistance, it still takes a lot of work to make something like this.

Photos from today’s Texas Veterans Parade in Corsicana. The Grand Marshal was Medal of Honor recipient William Swenson. It was an enjoyable event and I hope that it grows each year. I had the opportunity to see Lt. Col Swenson speak at the Palace theater the previous night. His speech was striking and impactful. It was not an account of his acts of heroism or your typical war stories. It was an advocation for sharing the knowledge of what the MoH represents, and he explained what he believes it represents. Swenson emphasized the many men and women that gave their lives who’s tales of personal heroism were not witnessed by friendly troops, leaving their stories forgotten to the battlefield.
If you have the opportunity, show up to these events. Take your kids to the many museums located in Texas which honor those who have gone before us. Teach the next generation why we respect and honor people such as Lt. Col Swenson.
