With the Winter Storm approaching this weekend, I wanted to pass along a few tips for protecting your pool and equipment.

It is crucial to keep your pool running during freezing temperatures. Pools typically have an automatic freeze protection feature that activates the system when temperatures drop below freezing. However, some pools may lack this feature. Circulation plays a key role in preventing pipes and equipment from freezing.

In the event of a power outage, take the necessary precautions: turn off power to equipment at the breaker and remove all drain plugs (familiarize yourself with plug locations beforehand). Once power is restored, replace all plugs and fill the pump with water and turn power back on at breaker.
