Duck Team 6
We are a 501(c)(3) volunteer-ran dog rescue that focuses on capturing street dogs in the DFW Metroplex. https://linktr.ee/DuckTeam6 Semper Woof!
Our mission is to reduce the street dog population through capture, medical outreach and placement. Duck Team 6 is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue that focuses on capturing street dogs in the DFW Metroplex. We operate mostly as a "capture team" that helps with the capture of elusive dogs and then works with other rescue groups to place a captured dog in a foster home, forever home or no-kill

šØ URGENT: Millie and her babies šØ
We have received ZERO foster interest and Millie is now leading her puppies across four lanes of a busy street.
These puppies are old enough to be weaned and separated into multiple foster homes, but we have received no offers and Millie also needs a place to go.
Millie is street smart, but her puppies are not. It is only a matter of time before one is potentially hit by a car and that puts them in serious danger.
š Hereās the reality:
We cannot attempt to secure the puppies until we have a dedicated foster ready to take them immediately. Once the puppies are removed, we need to act quickly to safely capture Millie while having the puppies on site ābut if she realizes her babies are gone and leaves the area, we may lose her.
š¾ We need:
⢠A committed foster ready ASAP
⢠A safe, quiet space for young puppies
⢠Someone prepared for unknown age or number puppies. Foster must be committed to keeping Millie and puppies until ready for adoption
Millie has done her part. Sheās kept her babies alive this long against all odds. Now she needs us to step in before itās too late.
Please step up. Please share. Please help us save this family just like we did for the Boys and Sadie

This monthās Volunteer Spotlight shines on Courtnie Stoddard!
Courtnie first connected with our capture team back in November when she reached out for help with two stray dogs near her office. Unfortunately, we werenāt able to assist at the time, but after seeing the work we do, she decided to jump in and give it a try herself.
Once she joined, Courtnie dove headfirst into our mission. She shows up for as many captures as she can and brings an incredible energy every single time. Her eagerness, positivity, and dedication are truly contagious. She has quickly become such a valued part of our team.
While weāre sad to say her time in Texas is temporary, sheāll be returning home to Wisconsin this fall, Courtnie is determined to leave her mark here and she absolutely has.
We are so incredibly grateful she chose our organization to volunteer with and to share her passion with our team.
Thank you, Courtnie, for your heart, your commitment, and the difference youāre making for dogs who need it most.

Can you help Sadieās puppies find their new foster or forever homes? š¾
Please share these adorable babies far and wide! Theyāre ready for the next step in their lives, they just need a little help getting there.
We fought so hard and for so long to find them in the woods of Dallas so they wouldnāt have to grow up living on the streets. Now theyāre safe, loved, and ready to begin their next chapter.
When these puppies move into their new foster or forever homes, Sadieās foster will be able to focus all of their time and energy on helping Sadie herself adjust to life indoors, something she truly deserves after everything sheās been through.
Sharing truly saves lives. Help Marleigh's Friends find these babies the homes theyāve been waiting for.
If you're considering adding a puppy to your pack, look no further!

OUR GOOD SAMARITAN GOT EYES ON MILLIE AND HER PUPPIES. THIS IS URGENT.
šØPUPPIES ARE OLD ENOUGH TO BE MOBILE AND WERE FOLLOWING HER ACROSS A FOUR LANE INTERSECTIONšØ

We have located the property where Millie is keeping her puppies. Unfortunately, the homeowner has not yet granted access. We are actively working on a plan to safely secure the puppies and time is critical.

WE HAVE A RESCUE, BUT FOSTERS ARE NEEDED

How do we even begin?!
No. Seriously. This was waiting on a volunteerās front doorstep when they got home.
Packages stacked high and even waiting in the mail room. Proof that when we ask for help, this community always shows up.
We were met with overwhelming kindness. The messages, the deliveries, the donations... each one a reminder that we are not doing this alone.
Itās hard to put into words how emotional it feels to know so many people stand behind this mission. Every time we ask for help with donations or critical supplies, you answer without hesitation.
Because of you, our team can keep going and help more dogs in need.
From the bottom of our hearts⦠thank you. Even saying that does not feel like it expresses our gratitude enough.

šØ URGENT: Millie and her babies šØ
While we were working on securing Buck and Ranger over the weekend, we never once forgot about Millie and her babies. We are all still relishing in the boys being caught, but the need for fosters still continues ā¦.
we now have an URGENT PLEA..
Millie is a brave momma out on the streets, doing everything she can to protect her babies. We believe she gave birth recently, and her puppies are estimated to be around 3ā4 weeks old. We donāt yet know how many there are, but we do know where they are.
We have located the property where Millie is keeping her puppies. Unfortunately, the homeowner has not yet granted access. We are actively working on a plan to safely secure the puppies and time is critical.

LOOK WHO GOT CAUGHT!
After 8 long months of begging, pleading, searching, hoping⦠and heartbreak after heartbreak from foster offers that fell through, were rescinded, or simply disappeared... we can finally say the words weāve dreamed of:
Buck and Ranger are off the streets.
These boys survived months sleeping on gravel beneath semi-trailers, enduring heat, cold, noise, and uncertainty, while a team of people refused to stop fighting for them. There were moments we felt defeated. Moments we wondered if their day would ever come. But giving up was never an option.
Today, they are safe.
Today, they have beds.
Today, they can finally rest.
Weāre planning a āBehind the Captureā segment to share the full story of Sadie, Buck, and Ranger ā three dogs who changed us and became the ones we simply could not walk away from. We hope their journey helps people understand why responsible ownership and spaying and neutering are so important, and how easily dogs can end up fighting just to survive.
For the first time in so long, Buck and Ranger donāt have to sleep with one eye open. They donāt have to wonder where their next meal will come from. They are finally learning what safety feels like⦠and soon, what love truly means.
Thank you to Dallas Pets Alive, their incredible fosters, and every single person who followed their story, shared their posts, and believed alongside us. You helped carry these boys home.
The healing will take time and their fosters are ready for that journey. These dogs may have come from the streets, but their future is finally filled with patience, compassion, and hope.
After everything theyāve endured, watching the beginning of their happy ending feels nothing short of miraculous. š¾

šØ URGENT SUPPLIES NEEDED šØ
Our capture team was loading up and getting ready to head out to capture BUCK AND RANGER ā YES, these boys FINALLY have fosters waiting for them!
But while we were searching for the right fosters, capture efforts never slowed down and now our supplies are running dangerously low.
To keep helping dogs like Buck and Ranger get to safety, we urgently need:
- Slip leads (our most-used and most-needed tool)
- Aluminum pans! With warmer weather rolling in, we use these to create moats that keep ants from invading and spoiling food during trapping
Every capture takes patience, time, and the right equipment. Without these supplies, our ability to safely secure dogs in need is limited.
