BEHIND THE SCENES // MYNAH BY SMITHA 🎞️
Some pieces make sense on a hanger, Smitha’s really need to be seen in motion.
We shot this one at The , where the colorful 100% cotton dresses looked right at home against all of the character of the property. The moment Smitha started walking, it was clear why her dresses are such a hit. Each dress is cut with an incredible amount of care, and run up to size 18 while also being maternity and nursing-friendly.
The bags are the same quality. You can admire the print in a photo, but in person, you really notice the quilting and the care in every finish.
Smitha Menon grew up in India surrounded by the colors and patterns that now inspire Mynah by Smitha. Her signature dresses are made from hand-block-printed cotton, with a generous shape that is meant to feel beautiful on women of all shapes and sizes. She works with master artisans and has built the brand around a slower, more thoughtful approach to fashion.
Smitha herself is so genuinely kind, and you can feel how much she loves what she creates. Getting to photograph her pieces in a setting with enough room for them to move made this shoot especially fun.

THE MAKING OF A BACKYARD RETREAT // 🌿
What makes an outdoor space feel like a private resort? For this North Dallas renovation, .landscapedesign is creating a sense of escape through intentional space planning, lush raised plantings and materials that complement the home’s contemporary architecture.
The design introduces a new pool, outdoor kitchen and shaded living area, giving the homeowners more ways to enjoy the backyard throughout the year.
Installation is coming soon in collaboration with and . We’ll be watching this transformation take shape.
BEHIND THE SCENES // NEW LEAF CUSTOM HOMES 🎞️
For this super fun shoot, we were welcomed into the beautiful home of Scott and Melissa Powell, the founders of New Leaf Custom Homes. We invited the whole family in front of the camera, including their 4 teenage kids!
The result felt much more like a night at home than a photoshoot. There were TikTok dances happening between takes, plenty of bad dad jokes, and a lot of laughter while we waited for the sun to disappear behind a cloud and give us the perfect light.
That sense of family is woven into the way New Leaf approaches every home they build. Their entire process is handled in-house, giving their team a personal understanding of each project and the people who will eventually live there. They care deeply about getting every detail right, but they never lose sight of what those details are meant to create: a home where real life can happen.
Getting to photograph them in the home where their own real life happens made this shoot feel especially fitting. We can’t wait for you to see the final page!
