Don’t let rain make you cancel or shorten your park days. It WILL rain!
Others will leave but with rain gear you can (as I say) “poncho up and ride!”
I recommend all my hijabi sisters (and anyone who wears long sleeves) to get a lightweight long sleeve rain jacket for the Disney & Universal parks.
Those cheapie $1 “emergency” ponchos and the ponchos sold in the parks are short sleeve and will leave you miserable.
Here’s a little idea I came up with last September: glow cube + popcorn bucket = LANTERN.
It’s especially to hold after fireworks so people can see you coming, whether walking or on the stroller.
Try the Jessi bucket on your next visit. 😁

The Green Army Drum Corps perform in Andy’s Backyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios every day at the following times:
10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
It’s hot. Plan accordingly! 🥵 In my park bag I have a shade umbrella, sweat hankie, cooling towel, handheld fan and poncho. Ready for whatever and weather won’t make me leave.
But DO take the midday break back at your hotel. That’s a MUST!
This brought me to tears! Winged Encounters, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, is a truly incredible experience. Not only did two macaws graze my head with their wings, an entire FLOCK flies right overhead and comes to land nearby.
You can experience it yourself in person - it happens several times each morning.

They also played Under the Sea for us! (Or as they called it, Under the Ocean.)
