🖤 Strength Born at Sixteen.

There is a truth our communities have always known:

Some journeys begin in the dark.

Some leaders rise without being seen.

Some stories begin in places meant to break us — and become the very thing that builds us.

At sixteen, TeQuan Penny Te'Quan Penny received a diagnosis that could have silenced her.

Sixteen — an age meant for dreaming, for becoming, for beginning.

But instead of shrinking, she rose.
Instead of disappearing, she led.
Instead of letting stigma define her, she turned it into purpose.

Because Black Women have never needed sight to see possibility.

Never needed permission to lead.
Never needed visibility to create vision.

And as we approach Juneteenth, we honor not only the women who carry movements — but the partners who stand with us as we build them.

Today, we recognize our Impact Partner:
🖤 Positive Women's Network - USA

A movement led by women living with HIV —
women who survive systems not built for them,
women who turn lived experience into leadership,
women who refuse to let stigma have the final word.

PWN‑DFW advances:
Health Justice.
Leadership Development.
Policy Change.
Community Support.
Economic Empowerment.

And a future where every woman living with HIV is met with dignity, not judgment.

On June 20th, we gather to honor the advocates, the healers, the storytellers, and the community builders who make liberation feel like home.

🖤 Art Builds Freedom. Stories Build Power.

There is a truth our communities have always known:

Art is not decoration.
Art is declaration.
Art is how we tell the truth when the world refuses to hear us.

Long before movements had microphones, they had murals.

Long before justice had language, it had storytellers.

Long before liberation had policy, it had imagination.

And as we approach Juneteenth, we honor not only the women who carry movements — but the partners who stand with us as we build them.

Today, we recognize our Community Partner Supporter: 🏳️‍⚧️ Arttitude

For ten years, ARTTITUDE has centered underrepresented q***r and trans voices —
not as an afterthought,
not as a footnote,
but as the heart of their work.

They believe in art with an attitude.

Art that amplifies untold stories.

Art that connects generations.

Art that challenges health stigmas.

Art that cultivates justice and inclusion.

They have turned galleries into brave spaces.

City walls into manifestos of visibility.

Quiet stories into roaring anthems.

And creative expression into a tool for healing, truth, and cultural change.

On June 20th, we gather to honor the advocates, the healers, the storytellers, and the community builders who make liberation feel like home.

Today, we recognize our Community Advocate Supporter: 🏳️‍⚧️ Finn's Place

A home for trans and gender‑diverse people in Fort Worth

not a shelter,
not a service,
but a community center built on joy, connection, and belonging.

Finn’s Place believes in something powerful:
✨ When trans people gather, grow, and flourish — the entire community rises with them.

They create spaces where people show up fully.

Where trans joy is not an exception — it’s the expectation.

Where connection is cultivated,
where education is shared,

and where leaving the building never means leaving your community.

🍽️ A Gathering in Color. A Table of Liberation.

This Juneteenth, Blaq Linq invites you to gather differently.

Not just in a room—
but at the table.
Not just in community—
but in communion.

Paint & Shade The Stigma returns—reimagined as a seated, immersive brunch experience where art, storytelling, and collective healing unfold in real time.

In the spirit of Juneteenth, we honor freedom not just as history—but as a living, breathing practice.
A freedom to feel. To express. To be seen. To rest. To heal—out loud and in community.

Because liberation doesn’t only live in protest.
Sometimes, it lives at the table.

✨ What awaits you:

🍽️ A curated, southern-inspired brunch experience
🎬 Feature film in collaboration : “And We Rest On Giants”
💬 Post-screening conversation with community voices
🎨 Immersive paint experience + LIVE model canvas
🎤 Spoken word, reflection, and collective presence

Each moment—an offering.
Each table—a space to be witnessed.

🎨 Gratitude in full color.

We’re honored to be featured in the Dallas Voice SCENE section (Issue 01.09.26) for Paint & Shade The Stigma Vol. 2 — an immersive evening of live body art + radical storytelling for World AIDS Day — now on newsstands.

Thank you  for holding space for stories that center remembrance, resistance, and radical healing — and for amplifying community-led art that confronts HIV stigma with truth, tenderness, and courage.

✨ On Friday, December 5, 2025, we gathered in collective care. Bodies became canvases. Words became medicine. Art carried what language alone could not — honoring those we’ve lost, uplifting those living + thriving with HIV, and reminding us that healing is not solitary.

💬 Paint & Shade The Stigma Vol. 2 was more than an event — it was presence, it was memory, it was a refusal to let stigma speak louder than love.

We’re deeply grateful to every artist, model, storyteller, partner, and community member who showed up and made the night unforgettable.

Come for the color.
Stay for the connection.
Leave transformed.
