A day at the museum with of wearing sustainable fashion. xx
Did you know our space in Dallas is designed to look like a gallery? Our goal is for customers to not only shop but if interested, learn a little something about each brand and what “sustainable fashion” means. Designers have their own designated racks suspended in air with signs next to each rack. The signs, which look like museum labels/tombstones next to an art piece, contain designer bios and a little info on why and how each brand is “sustainable.” There is no perfect definition of what a sustainable designer is and our exhibiting brands demonstrate sustainable practices in many unique ways. Stop by and shop Sept!
Now through Dec 22! Open again Dec 27.

We ❤️ sustainable pieces for under 200.
Pictured here: sustainable fashion brands that offer pieces under 200
Two questions we are frequently asked are 1. What does sustainable fashion mean? And follow up 2. Is sustainable fashion affordable?
Sustainable fashion is a practice that can be done in many ways. At Sept, designers use only natural fabrics and deadstock materials, create zero waste collections, work with exclusively fair labor / ethical factories, donate to charitable organizations, etc. Therefore - to address question #2, the quality and craftsmanship is factored into the price point. Sustainable fashion and affordability is relative. While prices cannot usually compete with fast fashion, prices reasonably reflect the high quality which is the product of ethical advanced craftsmanship, attention to detail from made-to-order and small-batch production runs and use of natural materials like organic cotton, h**p, bamboo, and silk.
What are your thoughts? Do you shop from sustainable independent brands, thrift, collect vintage? Or do you shop at all?
