The man who owned Whitmore House spent years making things for it by hand. Some of the millwork in these photos came out of his own shop. The railing was drawn from a building he'd stood in and couldn't stop thinking about. The current owner expanded on that vision and modernized it beautifully.

None of it photographs well in one frame. That's sort of the point.
