Hello Project Elf Dallas Community,

Wishing you a joyful holiday season! We're thrilled to share exciting updates. Thanks for your unwavering support; together, we've positively impacted families transitioning from homeless shelters.

Big news! We've found an amazing family for our 2023 makeover—a wonderful mom, a grandmother, and two incredible kids. The mom faced challenges, losing her job last November due to depression and workplace bullying. She sought help from local shelters, and now, with determination, they're working on getting back on their feet—collaborating with shelter case managers, exploring apartments, and mom even does Door Dash for extra support – with great results,.. THEY HAVE A NEW HOME!

Despite their situation, the mom dreams big—considering culinary school or becoming a NICU nurse. She's overcome past hurdles and has her eyes on the prize. The family's makeover focus is on revamping the living room, Christmas tree, Family presents, Family meals and some very special surprises! In her downtime, the mom enjoys a good book, and their holiday traditions include parades, gingerbread house decorating, and baking cookies. Fun fact: crafting together is their favorite!

Get ready for an enchanting transformation! This year, Project Elf Dallas is embarking on a heartwarming journey to create a magical makeover for our truly deserving family. Picture a cozy living room filled with warmth, joy, and the essence of the holiday season. This makeover isn't just about aesthetics; it's about turning a house into a home, providing a haven for a mom, a grandmother, and two incredible kids who've faced challenges with resilience and determination. As we reimagine their living room space, we're not just creating a room; we're crafting a sanctuary, a place where dreams can flourish, and memories can be made. Stay tuned as we unveil this transformative experience and spread the spirit of giving and joy!

Hello Dallas and Hello America, WE'RE BACK! As a team we have been at this for a very long time and before the pandemic happened folks gave us advice that we should take a short break to take a breath and think about the future of Project Elf.. figure out what's next!

The advice is often well-intentioned, and it’s something that hard-working, driven individuals may hear a lot: Stop and smell the roses, get away and clear your head, or take a sabbatical to rest and rejuvenate -- and figure out where to take this great charity!

Nonprofits, many like us operate on limited budgets, are no exception. But to shut down and rethink -- out of sight, out of mind? A temporary shutdown could be considered a gamble, but it could also be just what a a decades old organization needs.

Then VOILA! Pandemic! Inadvertently we were forced into a shut down and through that we have had some great discussions. What we decided was that in 2022 we would rethink our fundraising, maybe (hopefully) try some new ways to raise awareness and money. So stay tuned for that.

Due to this re-tooling of the way we operate we will not do a makeover in 2022 but we will raise money to get a FABULOUS 2023 PLANNED FOR ONE OF OUR GREAT FAMILY Makeovers!
