Beautiful Sankyo on its way home after a Straub conversion. Some interesting mechanical issues but overall this was the closest to mechanically perfect over ever seen in a flute. Everything was perfectly fit and perfectly placed. Absolutely lovely to repair!

Used some newly gained knowledge from NAPBIRT conference 2022!

This 10k Sankyo MK2 had a very poorly fitting pivot screw. Made a custom reamer and now the pivot screw seats properly and all keys run smooth as silk! I love Sankyos definitely in my top 5 flute makers!

Processing some wood for upcoming crowns and other things. I am smitten by this olive wood and King wood!

New synthetic felt and bumper material for the Haynes Weissman overhaul.

I spent a lot of time reworking my flute crown design this winter. These are the first batch of the new design. I am absolutely in love with them! All three are headed off to a fellow technician and flute lover in Waco. Can you guess the wood left to right?

I'm a bit obsessed with how well this turned out! Custom neck screw for a 1960s Ida Marie Grassi tenor. The green matches the green rollers and touch pieces throughout the instrument.

Been incredibly busy these last two weeks between teaching and back to school it's been hectic! Here is another little tenon sleeve project I managed to squeeze in. Photos are a bit blurry but the joints went from rocking to solid!

We are growing! I had the opportunity to buy out a shop from a retiring repair tech. This new tooling will greatly expand the services we offer in house! Our shop will be closed this week to integrate this new tooling to our shop! I will be available for emergencies. Please message/call/text if you are in a pinch. Repairs in the shop will be done ASAP.
