We’re honored to share that DHD Films received 5 Telly Awards this year across a wide range of storytelling categories.

From documentary and social impact work to thought leadership, editing, and emerging AI-driven creative, this year’s recognition reflects the variety of stories our team and partners helped bring to life.

As we celebrate these wins, we’ll be spotlighting each project individually and sharing more about the stories behind them in the coming days.

AI isn’t replacing creative teams. It’s removing friction.

When turnaround times shrink from hours to minutes, teams get more space to focus on strategy, storytelling, and creative thinking instead of repetitive production tasks. Speed matters. Especially in social.

We hope everyone had a meaningful Memorial Day. As we reflect on the significance of the day, we honor and remember the military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and recognize the lasting impact of their courage and selflessness.

How do you tell a lifetime of stories in one sitting?

Creating Dale’s Legacy Film was a deeply personal process for our team. It’s a rare privilege to be trusted with the story of someone’s life, and through hundreds of archival materials — family polaroids, newspaper articles, 16mm film, and more — we felt like we were getting to know Dale piece by piece.

Every detail mattered. Our challenge was to take a linear timeline of work, family, and milestones and shape it into a narrative that felt alive rather than like a list of accomplishments. Through side-by-side sessions and close collaboration, we looked for the “why” behind each career shift, the lessons passed down from each mentor, and the moments that revealed not just what Dale did, but who heis as a son, a father, a leader.

The end result was a stunning film and a process that felt less like traditional storybuilding and more like reflection, remembrance, and meaning-making.

Last week, a Studio Session like no other!

Talking points included: the executive AI push with no actual plan, Coca-Cola’s generative double-down, Will Smith eating spaghetti, and the shared realization that “just keep prompting until something cool happens” is not, in fact, a creative strategy.

We dug into the current state of AI for marketing teams, where the pressure is high, the tools are multiplying, and the group chat is probably already asking, “Can AI help us make this faster?”

We also pulled back the curtain on our first AI Bootcamp cohort: what they tried, what clicked, what broke their brains a little, and how the process helped turn AI from a mysterious slot machine into something closer to an actual creative workflow.

There was great conversation, a lot of smart client perspective, and the kind of networking that reminds us the future of AI in marketing is not just about tools. It is about taste, strategy, shared language, and knowing when the output is Certified Slop-Free®.

Some projects move fast. The best partnerships move faster.

When HKS needed to turn around a critical interview opportunity quickly, our team jumped in quickly to help shape, capture, and deliver content that matched the moment. From detailed architectural visuals to model-building coverage, every piece was built to support the bigger story while staying on pace with a tight timeline.

Clear communication, constant collaboration, and a shared commitment to getting it right made this one especially rewarding. We're grateful to partner with teams like HKS who trust us to move with them when timing matters most.

We’re proud to share that Evan Denton has stepped into the role of Creative Director at DHD Films.

Evan’s journey with DHD has been defined by consistency, curiosity, and a deep commitment to the craft. From shaping ideas in their earliest stages to bringing them to life on screen, he has played a key role across countless projects — always pushing for clarity, originality, and work that truly resonates.

Beyond the work itself, Evan has been a steady creative voice within the team. He challenges ideas in the right ways, supports those around him, and brings a level of thoughtfulness that elevates both the process and the final product. His ability to translate complex ideas into something clear, compelling, and human is what makes him such a strong leader.

This promotion reflects not just the work he’s done, but the impact he’s had on our team, our clients, and the stories we tell.

Congratulations, Evan. We’re excited for what’s ahead.

Creativity doesn’t clock out.

Recently, our Creative Director, Evan Denton, took his family to the Fort Worth Zoo and naturally found himself behind the lens. A reminder that the same curiosity and attention to detail we bring to our work often shows up in the things we love outside of it.

It wasn’t a planned shoot, just a creative doing what he does. Noticing details, capturing moments, and staying curious. Proud of a team that continues to explore, practice, and grow both in the work and outside of it.

Our Chief Success Officer, Hussain Manjee, and our Founder & Creative Director, Shezad Manjee, are attending the first-ever Japan-Texas Economic Summit this week.

DHD Films is honored to sponsor this important gathering, bringing together business leaders, investors, government officials, and economic development leaders from across Japan and the United States to explore what is possible when two powerful economies build together.

Texas and Japan already share a remarkable economic relationship. Japan is the largest source of foreign direct investment in the United States, with more than $800 billion invested by ultimate ownership as of the end of 2024, and a new $550 billion U.S.-Japan investment commitment signals even more opportunity ahead.

At DHD Films, we believe stories move people, connect cultures, and help ideas travel further. That is why we are proud to support moments like this, where business, diplomacy, innovation, and human connection come together.

The future of Japan and Texas is bright, and it is being shaped by the leaders in rooms like this one.
