Made it back from Austin to watch our 3-0 Allen Eagles take on the 3-0 Prosper Eagles on a perfect evening for Thursday Night Lights! Thanks to Prosper ISD for being such wonderful hosts.

The Founders got it right. Limited government. Individual liberty. Separation of powers. Happy Constitution Day! May we never stop fighting to protect it.

Incredible day on The Hill in DC working with Elizabeth Carlock Phillips and other advocates, victims and survivors to get Trey’s Law passed and on to the President’s Desk. Texas was the first state to pass Trey’s Law in 2025 — and now Congress has the opportunity to pass the federal version by Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Brandon Gill and make our law banning NDAs the law of the land in America. Another example of something special starting in Texas — and the Texas House — and changing the world!

Whenever I’m in DC, I love to go for a jog on the National Mall. On my run today, I took particular note of the prominent memorials to Presidents Lincoln & Grant and to MLK. All Republicans. And all of whom devoted their lives and their public service to fighting against bigotry, racism and injustice, in all their forms.

Some of the loudest voices in our Republican Party today would be well served to go for a jog on the Mall themselves and refresh their memories on the great leaders who came before us, the principles we hold dear and the values we fight to uphold. Better yet, take your time and make it a walk.

This is our son Brady at the game with his pledge class. Sadly, we have a statewide candidate for public office who apparently thinks it’s a “problem” they don’t all look like and have the same skin color as Brady. Well I for one think that’s racist — and it makes me sick. And I’m not afraid to say it. None of us should be.

In Austin the morning after.

Big Allen win. Big Horns win. Now let’s see if we can get one for our beloved Cowboys tonight.
