Being outdoors, trying new 'adventures', creates new neural pathways. This is a good thing!

Walking has been shown to aid weight loss, improve mood, help with certain medical conditions, and actually increase the size of the hippocampus! Trying new things, especially out of doors, enhances life, allows the brain to create new pathways, keeping us fit and young (at heart).
