These 3 books have been great wealth of information throughout my career as an Arborist. While the ISA and TCIA manuals are good starting points, I always recommend the new folks I instruct to branch out and seek other resources.
"The Fundamentals of General Tree Work" is the Bible for someone that makes their living with a chainsaw.
The technical knowledge presented by "On Rope" have helped me expand both my rigging and climbing skills.
"Arborculture..." is a text book from the 70's that has more academic wisdom then i could ever take in.
