The City Hall topic is still hot!

Below is an excerpt from our Councilman Paul Ridley's newsletter.

"Dallas City Hall

As many of you know, I have been steadfast in my support for preserving Dallas City Hall. This iconic building (literally “The People’s House”) is a civic asset that deserves careful consideration and transparent decision-making about its future.

As a refresher, the Council adopted the following resolution in early March. Although it contains provisions that I support, such as developing a repair program that prioritizes the most critical needs and a funding strategy to carry out such a program, I voted in opposition since it advances unnecessary relocation instead of focusing on repairs.

The City Manager has published her next steps here, and has issued an open call for concepts via the City's homepage as part of Council’s direction to "explore options for the disposition of the City Hall site.”

Residents are encouraged to fill out the response form with what YOU would like to see at the City Hall site. I have responded that I would like to see City Hall preserved. You can access the survey here. Responses are due by May 3, 2026. The flyer is included below.

I will be co-hosting a townhall at the Latino Cultural Center with Councilmember Blackmon to discuss and receive feedback on Dallas City Hall on April 21st at 6 PM. All are welcome to attend.
