💜 INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY | AUGUST 31 💜

25 Years On, Still Needed.

For 25 years, International Overdose Awareness Day has brought communities together to remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief carried by families and loved ones, and strengthen our commitment to preventing future deaths.

And 25 years on, this day is still needed.

Today, we remember without judgment. We honor without stigma. And we stand with everyone whose life has been touched by overdose.

Every life has value. Every loss matters. Every person deserves compassion, dignity, support, and access to resources that can save lives.

As we mark 25 years of International Overdose Awareness Day, may we continue working toward a future where fewer families experience this loss—and where no one is afraid to ask for help because of stigma.

💜 Remember. Support. Educate. End the stigma. Save lives.

Thanks to the United Court of the Lone Star Empire, Dallas Eagle, and everyone who performed or came out to support the 15th Annual Stop the Madness, Stop the Bullying show. Through your generosity we were able to raise $900 to support the Daire Center's Clients and Programming.

Here's the second basket we'll bring to auction off tomorrow night. This "Kindness is Contagious" basket which we thought a good counterpoint to bullying. The basket includes a "Plant Kindness, Gather Love" ceramic mug with Rishi Garden Party Tea Sachets, a plush cable woven throw, Bath Bombs, Soy Candle from DKB, an amazing assortment of chocolates for Neuhaus, and more.
