Project Still I Rise

We are back again for another year of our Urban STEM Pop-Ups. A year-round program built to develop skills and provide mentorship to minority males in grades 5-11, in partnership with UT Dallas’s Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Another day, another reason to be proud!

There's nothing we love more than shining a light on the achievements of our PSIR Urban Scholar Alums. Today we are proud to celebrate Dr. Lydia Lewis, who recently earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and has successfully passed her board examinations.

Dr. Lewis's dedication and perseverance have led her to this outstanding achievement, and we could not be prouder to see her thriving in her field. We are of Dr. Lewis and everything she continues to accomplish.

Whenever we can, we love highlighting our PSIR Urban Scholar Alums doing big things!

Today we’re spotlighting Doryian Marshall , a rising senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University. Doryian just wrapped up an internship with Boeing Defense, Space & Security program in St. Louis, Missouri!

Doryian is making incredible strides and is on track for a successful career in the aerospace industry after graduation. We are of Doryian and everything he’s accomplishing!

Visible outcomes and spoken truth set the tone for the next generation and the work ahead.

Our 2026 Project Still I Rise Summer fellowship has officially wrapped up, and it has been a fantastic experience.

Thank you to Project Still I Rise, the African American Museum of Dallas, our mentors, and everyone who supported us along the way. We learned so much, made so many new friendships, and had the opportunity to grow together every single day.

Thank you for following our journey this summer. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
