Driving safer together is a commitment we take seriously at CARCON Industries and STL Engineers. Yesterday, our teams came together for a joint defensive driving training session led by David Martin, our Corporate Safety Director for both organizations.

David shared practical, real-world strategies to help our employees stay alert, anticipate hazards, and make safer decisions behind the wheel on and off the job. Defensive driving is more than compliance; it’s about protecting our coworkers, our families, and everyone sharing the road with us.

We’re proud of our teams for their engagement, thoughtful questions, and dedication to continuous improvement. By investing in defensive driving training, we’re reinforcing a culture where safety comes first on every trip, every time, and working together to ensure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.

The STL Engineers leadership team had yet another incredible experience at the World of Concrete 2026 Expo in Las Vegas, NV — one of the most influential gatherings for professionals shaping the future of construction and infrastructure.

Over the course of the event, our team connected with thought leaders, discovered the latest advancements in concrete technology, and explored innovative products, equipment, and techniques that continue to move the industry forward. From sustainability solutions to emerging design tools, the insights gained will help us continue to deliver even greater value and precision in the work we do every day.

STL Engineers is excited to partner with Oncor on the Prong Moss Switch project in Midland. This initiative will upgrade West Texas’s critical energy infrastructure. As the project’s trusted geotechnical and testing partner, STL Engineers is providing thorough site investigations, advanced construction materials testing, and quality management services to help deliver a state-of-the-art 345-kV switching station and rebuilt transmission lines. This collaboration with Oncor will boost reliability, meet the region’s growing energy needs, and pave the way for a resilient future throughout the Permian Basin. STL Engineers is proud to play a hands-on role in one of the most important Tier 1 transmission upgrades for Texas.

STL Engineers is honored to have contributed to the DFW Terminal C High Gates modular project through our quality materials testing and inspections services. Our team played a key role in the overall quality of the structures and ensuring the safe fabrication and overnight transport of the six large-scale modules, each weighing up to 1,200 tons and extending over 200 feet. This innovative modular construction method represents a significant milestone for DFW Airport, enabling the addition of nine new gates by 2026 while minimizing operational disruptions. We are proud to support DFW’s continued growth and commitment to delivering an enhanced travel experience for all passengers. STL is helping move .

Building on this success, the Terminal C High Gates project set the standard for DFW’s current modular expansion-paving the way for six additional modules at Terminal C and another six mega modules for Terminal A, with each new phase raising the bar for efficiency and innovation in airport construction.

STL Engineers is excited to continue building on our collaborating partnership with ONCOR on a series of significant transmission infrastructure upgrades in the works, including projects like:

- The Quartz Sand to Hog Mountain line
- The major 345 kV Reiter to Tesoro line.
- Midessa South Switch - Midessa 138Kv line: Cut in Sloan Switch for Greater Bryant G Solar.
- Benge Tap: Establish 138kV Point of Delivery for XTO Energy, Inc.
- Wellbore Switch - Barr Ranch Switch 138kV.

This week, we proudly marked a milestone after a 210 cubic yard pour completion for a T-line foundation at the Mid-Dessa South Switch. Our West Texas Market division is proudly working to provide essential quality control and inspection services to ensure the reliability and performance of these vital projects, contributing to the $1.12 billion Tier 1 initiative powering the state forward!

STL Engineers would like to recognize one of our exemplary employees, Jesus Gonzalez who was selected for the employee spotlight this quarter! With 8 years at STL Engineers and over 10 years of experience as an inspector, Jesus is an integral part of the STL Engineers quality management team out at DFW Airport. If there’s an issue, DFW knows that Jesus will work tirelessly to resolve it in a professional manner with our team. Jesus has been a catalyst in creating a great partnership based in trust and understanding between STL Engineers and DFW’s Quality Team. His communication, work ethic and dedication to quality set him apart at DFWIA and showcase the ideals that STL Engineers strives for when working with clients, partners, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

The STL Engineers team had an incredible experience for our company's first time attending the World of Concrete 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The entire convention center place was buzzing with over 57,000 other construction professionals checking out the latest and greatest from 1,500+ exhibitors at this year's convention. Our construction materials testing leadership team witnessed some groundbreaking innovations, from mind-blowing carbon fiber concrete repair demos to sustainable concrete solutions that are cutting CO2 emissions by 10%. The next-gen admixtures were also impressive, boosting performance while being environmentally friendly. It was immensely inspiring to see the industry so focused on sustainability, efficiency, and smart tech. Our team came back with a ton of great ideas and innovative solutions for STL Engineers to consider immediately integrating into our operations and service offerings, and we cannot wait to put them into action!
