‼️New Course added today‼️ Intro to Pelvic Floor Therapy

This hands on two-day course will teach participants the anatomy of the pelvic floor, including muscles, nerves, and connective tissues, and explain their roles in continence and support. Explain the physiology of micturition, including neural control and bladder function in normal and pathological states. Perform a basic pelvic floor evaluation, including external and internal assessment techniques, patient education, and documentation. Assess pelvic floor muscle strength and endurance using standardized tools and clinical reasoning to guide treatment planning. Differentiate between stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder, including etiology, presentation, and contributing factors. Design and implement evidence-informed treatment strategies for stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder incorporating behavioral, manual, and exercise-based interventions. Sometimes our patients want specifics, sometimes they don't. Being able to give a specific diagnosis without using overly nocebo language can be difficult. This article does a good job of finding the balance. And just remember sometimes the diagnosis is non-specific, but the treatment never is.
