A well-organized dorm is not an overstuffed dorm. Be realistic about what your student will actually wear and use, and how much space they're working with. People wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time. If it's on the fence, leave it home. It can always come back at Thanksgiving.
Before you buy anything new, shop your house first. Pens, a stapler, a calculator, towels. Most families already have more than they think.
Bins that fit the space. Hangers that fit more in a tight closet. That's the goal, not a picture-perfect room packed with stuff.
Less clutter. Better systems. Smarter shopping. Good luck!
