Travis William Moseley of COLORBLIND wrote âChemical Warfareâ with Joshua Landry, better known as Joshua Landry, about the times when it truly feels like we become our own worst enemy.
âIâve spent a lot of my career battling the normal things that a lot of people in our jobs battle, like severe imposter syndrome and severe anxiety from just wanting to show up and be the person that everybody needs, Travis Moseley says.
âIâve been able to relax a lot just feeling like other people are going through that too⊠we are all human, and weâre all going through the same things together.â

âWhatâs It Like To Be Happyâ is a song that began as an ironic question in an OF VIRTUE writing session and became a much deeper reflection on what it means to build meaningful peace during even the lowest moments of your life.
ââWhat Itâs Like To Be Happyâ is written about mental health,â tyler ennis says simply. âItâs
written about the trials and tribulations of trying to find what happiness is to you. Going through the motions, feeling depressed, feeling like those things that maybe you have enjoyed in the past, you donât enjoy anymore.
He adds, âI think we all get caught up in where we want to be, not where we are right in this moment. And a lot of the reason why we do that, of course, is because we donât want to be in this moment. We want to feel better. We want to feel good. But you canât until you sit with your feelings, until you sit with your thoughts, and you take these issues, problems, and battles that you deal with every day head-on. Then youâre going to walk away from that situation better off because you stood up for yourself.â
Swipe through for more insight from Tyler. âWhat Itâs Like To Be Happyâ is streaming now ahead of OF VIRTUEâs album Death of the Altar, releasing on October 2! Make sure youâre following HeartSupport for more about songs with deep mental health meanings.â€ïž

âDead Doesnât Hurtâ by Hillhaven offers a moment of catharsis, forgiveness, and moving
on for anyone who has experienced extreme betrayal.
Lead singer Chris Kelly says, âI think that especially in metalcore, a lot of the subject matter that people latch onto is the personal thing. If youâve experienced it, then 100% someone else somewhere has experienced it. If that person hears it, then they now have something to connect to, as opposed to simply just maybe enjoying a song. I think thatâs a much more
powerful experience. It starts from subject matter that I feel is honest and potentially relatable. The catharsis that comes from that is often quite significant.â
