Took me a while to process this. So many emotions. I remember many years ago when I first mentioned becoming an Event Planner, everyone except my Mila Asliee thought I was crazy. She was the ONLY one who asked when was I going to get started. Then I moved to NC and alot of vendors didn't welcome me into the room.( they still don't but whatever) Except Derrick Phillips. He always greeted me with a smile. Although I didn't want to move to Texas, it has been a blessing in disguise. The vendor community here has been so welcoming, encouraging and supportive. They have loved on me as if they have known me for years. You know one of those big ole church hugs, and for that I will always be grateful!

Even if this doesn't go any further than being a nomination, I humbly say thank you for seeing me!💜💜💜

Just read this quote on Dietra Benton's page and it resonated with me so much.

My logo has changed but this picture is one of my favorites because it reminds me that I am a Black Female Entrepreneur! Thank you to those who paved the way for me to proudly say that or to be able to say it at all.
