June 3, 1992 - Michael Jordan scored 39 points and set NBA Finals records with 35 points in a half and six first-half three-pointers as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 122-89 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Jordan's famous "Shrug Game" became one of the most iconic moments in NBA history.

June 2, 2000 - The Expos will wear Maurice Richard's uniform #9 on their right sleeves this season to pay tribute to the late Montreal Canadiens star, who played 18 years in the National Hockey League. The uniform patch marks the first time a major league team has honored a hero from another sport.

June 1, 2011 - Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki makes the tie-breaking layup with 3.6 seconds left, and the Dallas Mavericks roar back from 15 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Miami Heat 95-93 and tie the NBA Finals at one game apiece. The Mavs outscore the Heat 22-5 down the stretch and pull off the biggest comeback win in an NBA Finals since 1992.

May 29, 2010 - Roy Halladay throws the 20th perfect game in major league history, outdueling Josh Johnson in the Phillies' 1-0 victory over the Marlins at Miami's Sun Life Stadium. The former American League Cy Young Award winner, obtained from Toronto in the off-season, joins Jim Bunning as the only two hurlers in franchise history to accomplish the feat.

The center fielder swipes four bases in the contest, trying a franchise mark shared by seven Mariners.
