New Playground Alert!
Exciting update for NEW PLAYGROUNDS‼️
In case you missed it, we successfully pushed for FIVE new playgrounds in Council District 14 through the 2024 bond program: Willis Winters, Tietze, Cochran, Exall, and Cole, in that order.
Now we're ready to share the first design and renderings for Willis Winters Park, and we want you to be a part of it.
This project has followed a comprehensive, community-drive process I built specifically for our council district's new playgrounds. For Willis Winters Park, that meant working closely with Friends of Willis Winters Park - formerly Randall Park board members to review multiple concepts from multiple vendors, narrow down to the top candidates, refine through several iterations, and finally advance a design that optimizes scale, safety, durability, community needs, and long-term value.
That brings us to today! We're now ready to share the proposed design with the broader communities, and that includes you!
Even more exciting: this same process will guide the four additional playgrounds coming to Tietze, Cochran, Exall, and Cole in the months and years ahead.
📅 Official Reveal: Sunday, April 26 at the historic pavilion at Willis Winters Park
👀 Sneak Peek: Monday, April 20 at the Mount Auburn Neighborhood Association meeting

This is about raising the bar on how we plan and deliver new playgrounds across Council District 14: consistent, high-quality, and shaped by the community. Playgrounds were a top priority for me throughout the 2024 bond process, and now it's time to deliver positive outcomes. Join us and help shape what comes next! ❤🌳🛝
