I try not to clown on the competition, (rarely doea a day go by that I don't send a customer to another Independent Local Garden Center) but this is what you get from a California nursery who's set up shop in TX.

I love AZ Cypress and rosemary but the others are straight garbage and will struggle in our climate and soils. Then folks blame themselves for killing them and buy replacements. Statistically folks will buy (and kill) 3 plants for a spot before they get one to succeed.

We strive to help you find the right plant for the right spot the first-time. In fact, in the nicest way possible, I'd rather sell you one plant and never see you again-- for that spot that is. 😆

(I'll put our plant availability list up against any in North Texas.)

But most importantly-- if you visit a LOCAL independent garden center, you'll get better plants and better advice-- and will ultimately save money and time and have a more inviting outdoor space to enjoy season after season. 😉

Heads up, Texas gardeners and native plant lovers!

A new bill (SB 1868) making its way through the Texas Legislature could make it illegal to possess several native and common garden plants—including Texas Mountain Laurel, morning glories, and datura—due to concerns over naturally occurring compounds. The bill allows for fines up to $25,000 per day for possession, even though many of these plants are staples in Texas landscapes and ecosystems.

Concerned? You're not alone. Native plant groups are urging lawmakers to clarify the bill's language to avoid unintentionally criminalizing cherished Texas flora.

Unpopular Opinion: the farmer's almanac is just your garden's horoscope.
