Do you know what causes people to leave a website?
One of the most common flyer mistakes I see? Text that’s way too small to read on a phone.
And here’s the thing — nobody’s going to zoom in. They’re just going to keep scrolling.
Your flyer has maybe 2 seconds to communicate. If the important details are buried in tiny print, you’ve already lost them.
Watch this and check your current designs. You might be surprised what you find.
Drop a 👇 if you’ve ever made this mistake — no judgment, we’ve all been there.
I see this mistake on flyers every single week.
The text is so small you need a magnifying glass just to find the date and time. And if your audience has to work that hard to read it — they won’t show up.
Your flyer has one job. Communicate fast. Especially on a phone screen where everything is already smaller.
Rule of thumb: if you have to squint to read it, it’s too small. Make the important information bigger. Date, time, location — those need to be the first things people see.
Not the last.
Save this and check your current designs before you post another flyer. 👇
One tiny setting in Canva is making your flyers look more crowded than they should.
It’s not your font choice. It’s not your colors. It’s your line spacing — and most people never even touch it.
When your text is too tight, it feels hard to read even if the words are great. Your audience gives up before they get the message.
The fix takes 10 seconds. Go to your text box, find the line height setting, and bump it up to 1.3 or 1.5. That’s it.
More breathing room = more professional. Every time.
Have you ever noticed this on a flyer you made? Drop a 👇 below.
Text can be perfectly written…
and STILL hard to read 😩
If your lines are too close together, your flyer starts feeling crowded fast.
Most people won’t slow down to figure it out…they’ll just scroll past.
👉 Give your text room to breathe.
Even a small spacing change can make your flyer feel cleaner, easier, and more professional 👏🏽
💾 Save this so you remember to check your spacing next time
👇 And tell me… have you made this mistake before?

One blurry photo can throw off an entire flyer.
When your image quality doesn’t match, your design stops feeling polished fast.
Quick rule:
Your photos should feel like they belong together.
✔ Similar quality
✔ Similar lighting
✔ Similar editing style
Consistency matters more than perfection.
Save this before your next flyer design 🎨
And check the comments for some amazing photographers 📸
Nothing ruins a clean flyer faster than mismatched image quality.
One washed out, blurry, low-resolution photo beside crisp HD photos makes the entire design feel unfinished.
And yes…
people notice it immediately.
Especially on flyers where multiple speakers or guests are featured.
Quick rule:
Your photos should feel like they belong in the SAME world.
✔ Similar lighting
✔ Similar sharpness
✔ Similar editing style
✔ Similar resolution
If one image is bad enough…
it can pull down the whole flyer.
And if you need a good photographer...check the comments!

These are some of my favorite beginner-friendly tools for finding colors that actually work together 👏🏽
And remember:
Just because colors are IN the photo doesn’t mean you should use ALL of them 😭
Start with:
✔ one dominant color
✔ one supporting color
✔ one accent color
That balance makes a HUGE difference.
👇 Comment COLORS and I’ll send you my free K-Designs Color Palette Tool to help you:
✔ pull colors from photos
✔ generate balanced palettes
✔ see a live flyer mockup
✔ get copyable hex codes
✔ use the 60-30-10 rule easier 🎨
Choosing colors for your flyers shouldn’t feel random 😩🎨
A good color palette can make your design feel:
✔ more professional
✔ more organized
✔ easier to read
✔ more intentional
