Police say 26-year-old Joseph Gray was trying to break up a fight when he was shot. Authorities arrested 23-year-old Detorius Tarver Jr., who now faces a murder charge.

The shooting comes during a violent week in Deep Ellum that also included another nearby shooting that injured five people, raising more concerns about safety in the district.

: What was supposed to be a dream trip to London for the University of Dallas men’s basketball team nearly fell apart after a travel company allegedly took over $60,000 in team funds before shutting down and filing for bankruptcy.

The team spent 18 months fundraising through camps, concessions, and working events at AT&T Stadium — all to take senior forward Michael Kennedy back home to London to play in front of family and friends.

After the story went viral online, Mark Cuban stepped in with a $30,000 donation to help save the trip.

The team has now raised most of the money back and is hoping to make the trip happen in August.
