More than 97 residents, team members, and friends gathered for our Juneteenth celebration yesterday, and what made the day especially meaningful was how many people helped bring it to life. ❤️

Residents and staff worked together to plan the event, share the story of Juneteenth, prepare food, and create a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.

There was music, great food, and plenty of conversation. Most importantly, there was connection.

As Pam, our Inclusion & Belonging Committee Chair, shared: "Invitations become connections, and connections become belonging."

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth and the opportunity to continue building communities where everyone is welcomed, valued, and belongs.

Yesterday the dine-out divas and dudes of Jackson Living Center enjoyed lunch at a Dallas favorite, Griff’s! 🍔 Where will we go next?

Join us on June 30 for Dementia Live®, an immersive, hands-on experience designed to help participants better understand the physical and cognitive challenges of dementia.

Following the program, enjoy wine and lite bites, tour Fowler's Memory Support Neighborhoods, and connect with local dementia resources.

This event is free and open to the community.

A huge thank you to Deloitte and the Dallas County Master Gardeners for another incredible Impact Day at Fowler this past Friday. 💙🌎

More than 95 volunteers from Deloitte, the Dallas County Master Gardeners, and our own resident volunteers spent the day making a difference across campus.

Despite a rainy start to the morning, volunteers showed up ready to work, bringing energy, creativity, and plenty of fun to this year's FIFA World Cup-themed event. Volunteers could be found:

⚽ Playing games and making crafts with residents
⚽ Hosting Bingo and ice cream socials
⚽ Creating art projects in Memory Support
⚽ Washing windows and beautifying campus spaces
⚽ Helping with resident surveys and special projects
⚽ Working side by side in the gardens

The day ended with an international celebration featuring ballroom dance performances, themed food and drinks, and residents proudly representing countries from around the world.

Thank you for investing your time, talents, and hearts in Fowler. The impact of this day can be seen across our campus, but more importantly, it can be felt by the residents who call Fowler home.

One of our creative residents from The Peak is being featured in this upcoming exhibit!

The exhibit will be open to the public from June 11 through July 4. We hope you'll stop by and support her work.

Pool season has officially begun at Fowler. ☀️

We celebrated a much-needed pause in the rain with a Hawaiian-themed afternoon filled with music, games, grilled burgers, and sunshine!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. 💛

Difficult emotions show up for all of us in different ways and at different times. They deserve space and attention, but they don’t have to take over your entire day.

We loved this simple reminder from Inspiring Insight about small ways to pause, reset, and care for yourself in the middle of hard moments.
