This summer, select Reds premier players will join Gorilla Rugby’s U23 squad throughout the Red River 7s National Qualifier Series as part of a shared commitment to player development and growing the game.

For the Reds, this partnership is an opportunity to support emerging talent by collaborating with a program that is already creating strong developmental pathways for ambitious young players. Together, we’re working to raise the quality of play, expand opportunities, and help build the future of rugby.

Dallas RFC would also like to introduce the 2026 7s Head Coach, Alex Gee! Club President John McAuliffe had this to say about bring Alex Gee on board:
“Dallas RFC is excited to announce Alex Gee as our new Head Coach of the 7’s program for 2026. Coach Gee brings decades of experience, knowledge and skills to his new position. Starting on the 2022 National Championship Team and making a name for himself in the commentary booth, we are looking forward to the skills and the chat leading the boys this summer.”

As the 15’s season has come to an end and we shift focus to 7s, Dallas Rugby announces the departures of Director of Rugby, Fil Keuppens and Men’s D1 Head Coach Ken Esterhuizen.

Club President John McAuliffe had this to say:

“Fil has been a staple of Dallas Rugby for generations. An integral part of the success of this club from rebuilds to National Championships. Thank you for hours of dedication and commitment to the betterment of the sport on and off the pitch. We wish you best of luck with your promotion to CEO of The Pickle Juice Company. Though we know you will be around and continue to help, thank you for your time as our Director of Rugby.“

“Thank you Coach Ken for your hard work helping the club achieve the National Quarterfinals. Your respect for the game is unmatched. We wish you the best of luck in your promotion. Once a Red always a Red.“
