Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association
We are a non-profit club bringing together old, new, and aspiring beekeepers in the Dallas area since 1959. Share anything you think is relevant!
The TVBA is a group of people who share a passion for beekeeping. Our members range from professional beekeepers with many hives to hobbyists with a few (or even zero) hives. Please feel free to "like" us even if you aren't a member or even don't know anything about bees! This page will have upcoming events, meetings, news, links of interest, pictures, and more! (But please don't advertise on here--it will be removed.)

Hey Honey Bee Buddies & TVBA followers.
A Travis Feiner, a friend and fellow member of TXAPBR (Texas Association of Professional Bee Removers) has designed and produced an outstanding tool for beekeepers to safely collect and relocate swarms and bee colonies nesting in cavities and other suboptimal places. He is offering a nice deal for TVBA members.
From Travis:
I hope this message finds you and the Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association members well.
My name is Travis Feiner, owner of Bee’n Green LLC, a Houston-based company dedicated to humane honeybee rescue, relocation, and eco-friendly pest management. We appreciate the important role TVBA plays in educating and supporting beekeepers throughout North Texas, and we’re proud to serve the broader Texas beekeeping community.
I’m reaching out to offer your club an exclusive discount on the Bee VAC Pro, a high-quality honeybee extraction vacuum designed specifically for safe and gentle bee handling. This tool is an excellent fit for swarm captures, structure removals, and cut-out operations—much like how club members benefit from shared or recommended supplies for honey processing and other beekeeping tasks.
• Regular price: $475
• Special offer for TVBA: 10% off, for a club purchase price of $427.50
The Bee VAC Pro features a bee-safe design with smooth-bore, crushproof hose to minimize harm during collection, making it ideal for club use—whether for lending to members, group demonstrations, or as a resource for those performing rescues and removals. It helps promote humane practices and colony health across our region.
If the association is interested in this opportunity (perhaps as a club asset or for a member group buy), I’d be happy to provide full specifications, photos, warranty details, or even arrange a demonstration. Please feel free to contact me directly at 713-689-8563 to discuss next steps.
Thank you for your leadership and for all TVBA does to advance beekeeping in Texas. I look forward to the possibility of partnering to support your members.
Sincerely,
Travis Feiner

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
A commercial beekeeper donated a large amount of equipment to the club. We are going to use this opportunity to share the wealth while also raising money for our queen and scholarship programs!
On October 13, before our regularly scheduled club meeting, we are going to have a donation based equipment sale. The sale will take place at the same location as our meetings from 5:30 to 6:30. This is open to any and all beekeepers who need to pick up a few extra items. All we ask in exchange for these items are that you make a donation to our Honey Queen and Scholarship program.
See comments for inventory list.

News from Terry Leggett- Bees for sales
To spark your memory- Terry spoke at TVBA last Spring about Swarms and his cool swarm traps.
“I have bees for sale. ASAP I have way too many bees, and I need the equipment. $200 for an almost full hive, $100 for basically a nuc size and $50 for a little comb with a laying queen.
I would like to recoup the frames, empty frames (even unassembled) for full frames. Texas bees, foundation-less and never treated.
I like people to bring their hive, and they can watch the transfer. If they pickup early one morning, they will not be leaving bees behind.” -Terry
